The Beauty of China: 3-Day tour
Day 1: Tiananmen Square- The Forbidden City- Jinshan Hill- Nanluoguxiang Hutong
We will start the day off in the center of China, Beijing. Here, your private guide and driver will meet you at your chosen hotel. We will be heading first to Tiananmen Square, where you will see some historical city landmarks and learn the history of the New China Era, which started in 1949. Next, we will go to the Forbidden City and explore the beautiful palace that is found there. After that, we will hike up Jinshan Hill for an aerial view of the last two attractions. We will then go get some lunch, authentic Chinese food at a local's house, and learn how to make dumplings with the locals. After we have eaten, we will explore the hutongs by a rickshaw ride and then take a scenic stroll to explore the scenery of Nanluogu Xiang Hutong. |
Day 2: Temple of Heaven - Happy Valley - Golden Mask Dynasty Show
We will start the second day by going to the Temple of Heaven, a temple where emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped both Heaven and Earth, as it was often seen as the link between the two. Today, however, people tend to enjoy its majesty and the views from the surrounding parks. After eating a local lunch, we will spend the afternoon at the Happy Valley Beijing amusement park, which features six themed zones and over 40 rides. Finally, we will finish the day by watching the Golden Mask Dynasty Show before heading back to the hotel. |
Day 3: Mutianyu Great Wall - Summer Palace - Bird's Nest - Water Cube
In the morning, we will head to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall from Beijing. There we will spend a few hours sightseeing at the Great Wall and have the option to ride the cable car up and then take a toboggan ride down. We will then stop to have lunch at a local Chinese restaurant near the Great Wall and then drive over to the Summer Palace. Here we will learn about the palace, which contains 3,000 rooms and a large imperial garden which contains pavilions, bridges, islands, and temples. After that, we will see the Beijing national stadium, which is also called the "Bird's Nest" for its unique shape and the Water Cube, where the Beijing National Aquatics Center resides. We will take pictures near both locations before taking you back to your hotel. |
